Although a xenon ballast shares similarities with ballasts for fluorescent lamps, it has specific characteristics that are tailored to quickly switch on the xenon lamp by supplying the necessary voltage. In addition, the ballast is responsible for maintaining a constant and correct power supply to the lamp, ensuring a stable and flicker-free illumination with full light output.
